Choosing a Christmas Party Game

Finding the best Christmas party game for your event is easier than you think. Once you assess how many guests you expect to attend and the age groups, you can plan out your entertainment from there. Ask yourself these questions when choosing the perfect game for your party crowd:

  • How many guests are attending? Before choosing a game, think about how many guests are expected to come to your Christmas party. The larger the party, the more inclusive the game will need to be. You should opt for playing games where you can divide guests into large teams if you’ll have more than 20 participants.
  • Will there be kids at the party? Make sure to set aside activities for kid attendees and assign a responsible chaperone to the kids’ table. This way, adults will be able to enjoy themselves during their respective games.
  • Do most of the guests know each other? Your answer to this question is key as you’ll need to include icebreaker games if most of your guests don’t know each other. Icebreaker games are fun and can lighten the mood so everyone feels comfortable at the start of your party.

The CBD of Laurieton will once again transform into a winter wonderland for people to experience the Christmas in July Street Party.  The event is on July 22 from 2pm until 7pm on Bold Street, Laurieton. This is the third time it has been on.  Event organiser Peter Nash said the festival was a way to connect local businesses with the growing number of people who are moving to the Camden Haven.  “By having the street party it’s enabling people to come and see what is on offer,” he said.  Mr Nash said a lot of people are choosing to do their shopping online or going elsewhere and the festival was a way to encourage them to support locals.   The white Christmas theme is in stark contrast to the often hot conditions experienced on December 25.  “A lot of people are from overseas, they are used to the cold and the snow for Christmas so we give them the opportunity to experience it,” Mr Nash said.  Children Mr Nash said will be impressed by the snow machine, the petting zoo and jumping castle.  Local up and coming country singer Emma Dykes will perform at the event. Vintage cars will be present at the street party and characters from Frozen Princess Elsa, Olaf and Santa Claus will make a special appearance.  Mr Nash is hoping that about 4000 people will attend the event.
